Geralyn Vaval, M.S, CPPS, SAC-IT, CAMS-ll
Founder & CEO
Behavioral Health Professional
Geralyn is the founder and owner of Wisconsin Family Mental Balance LLC and the founder of Cultivate Change, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth and individuals through comprehensive skills development, financial literacy education, and mental health support. Understanding that a person's environment can significantly impact their success, Geralyn has always been determined to forge her own path. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from Chicago State University and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Walden University. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate in Psychology, actively working on her dissertation.

One of Geralyn's greatest passions is ensuring that individuals receive the assistance, support, and guidance they need to navigate their daily lives effectively. She recognizes the importance of meeting her clients where they are in their recovery journey. Geralyn specializes in various areas, including Financial Literacy, Anger Management, Psychoeducation, Behavioral Modification, Individual Skill Development, Peer Support, and Substance Abuse Treatment. Through her work, she aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves.

Amanda Henschel, MSW, LCSW, EMDR I & II
Service Director | Mental Health Professional
Amanda joins W.F.M.B. as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Substance Abuse, with advanced training in trauma treatment. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Chicago. With a deep commitment to serving underserved communities, Amanda began her career in Chicago, where she provided in-home therapy and case management support to individuals facing severe mental illness, addiction, and homelessness.

Her experience extends to working with survivors of interpersonal violence and implementing medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction, as well as addressing a wide range of mental health and substance use issues. Amanda’s therapeutic approach is both compassionate and client-centered, empowering individuals to take an active role in their treatment while tailoring methods to meet their unique needs.

Xueyi (Jace) Liu, B.S, CAMS-lI
Chief Case Manager | Client Rights Specialist
At Wisconsin Family Mental Balance, Jace is deeply committed to the rehabilitation of individuals facing mental health challenges. As the Client Rights Specialist, he plays a vital role in ensuring that clients are informed of their rights and have access to the resources they need to advocate for themselves. With a bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Jace brings a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and its impact on mental wellness.
Jace specializes in delivering high-quality, personalized services that cater to the unique needs of each client, ensuring that they receive the support necessary for their recovery journey. His dedication goes beyond the traditional service array; he actively assists clients with essential resources, including housing and employment support, recognizing that these factors are crucial to achieving overall well-being.

Viashaun Conley, MA, BA
Senior Case Manager | Service Facilitator​​
Viashaun Conley joins Wisconsin Family Mental Balance as a Case Manager, bringing valuable educational experience with a Master's in School Leadership and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. He is dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and skills development.
Viashaun chose this career path after witnessing mental health struggles within his family. He understands the importance of providing compassion and quality service, which are essential components of a client’s recovery. What Viashaun enjoys most about his job is the opportunity to improve the lives of his clients and help them lead healthier lives.

Sephora Wawa-Egbuche, PhD, MS, LPC-IT
Service Facilitator | Psychotherapist
Sephora joins Wisconsin Family Mental Balance as a licensed professional counselor in training specializing in mental health assessments and therapy for diverse populations. She has a doctorate in counseling psychology at Marquette University, where her dissertation focuses on the wellness of Black and/or African American student-athletes.

With a master's degree in counselor education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Sephora has dedicated her career to serving underserved communities, providing individual and group therapy in both virtual and in-person settings. Her clinical experience includes working with refugee and immigrant clients, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Sephora's commitment to mental health extends to her work with school-aged children and adolescents, where she addresses a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. Her compassionate, client-centered approach empowers individuals to actively engage in their treatment while ensuring that her methods are tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

Jasyma " Jas" Johnson MSW, MS

Jas is a dedicated advocate and purpose-driven practitioner whose practice centers on empowerment, purpose, and holistic well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communications and Philosophy with a minor in Biology and Intercultural Studies, emphasizing Managing Diversity in the Workplace, from Elmhurst College. She also earned a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University and a Master of Social Work from Walden University.

Jasyma brings a unique blend of personal insight and professional expertise to the Wisconsin Family Mental Balance team. Her work is rooted in helping individuals and families develop self-sufficiency, emotional balance, and resilience. With a decade of experience in service-based roles, she focuses on supporting others in aligning their lives with purpose and building skills that promote stability, confidence, and long-term growth.

As a non-traditional social worker and single mother who homeschools, Jasyma understands the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities while striving for emotional and personal wellness. She values the power of resilience, faith, and preparation, believing that when opportunity knocks, readiness allows transformation to take place.
At Wisconsin Family Mental Balance, Jasyma specializes in guiding clients to strengthen communication, enhance self-awareness, and create intentional pathways toward healing and independence. Her approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity to heal, grow, and live a life aligned with their purpose.

Eleazar Wawa, MS, APSW
Psychotherapist | IFP
With over a decade of experience in the human services field, Eleazar joins Wisconsin Family Mental Balance as a dedicated psychotherapist and psychoeducator. He is passionate about supporting individuals and families in achieving their recovery goals, utilizing a compassionate and person-centered approach.

Eleazar holds a bachelor’s degree in social welfare from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master of social work from Walden University. His extensive training includes certifications as a Mental Health/AODA Functional Screener, CBRF, CPR, and First Aid and Choking, as well as several human service professional-related certificates from Comprehensive Community Services.

Fluent in French, Eleazar's multilingual communication skills enhance his ability to connect with diverse clients. He is adept in motivational interviewing and public speaking, and he specializes in youth advocacy and literacy. In addition to his therapeutic practice, Eleazar has experience conducting supervision at emergency shelter locations, providing essential childcare services, and advocating for youth in need. His holistic approach to mental health ensures that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Andrew is a dedicated provider at Wisconsin Family Mental Balance, focusing on Individual skills development, Psychoeducation, Housing, and Employment services. His deep passion for assisting others motivated him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, aiming to empower individuals to advocate for themselves. Following his graduation, he ventured abroad to Micronesia, where he taught at a local high school. During this experience, he forged meaningful connections and established lasting relationships with his students.

Fernanda joins Wisconsin Family Mental Balance with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, complemented by a minor in psychology. With her educational background, she is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community by demonstrating commitment and trustworthiness as she helps individuals and families achieve their goals.
Inspired by witnessing the struggles that can tear families apart, Fernanda chose this career path to foster resilience and healing. Whitley comes to Wisconsin Family Mental Balance as an Individual Skills Development Provider, bringing over 13 years of experience in juvenile judicial advocacy and 7 years in K-12 special education, focusing on autism and developmental disabilities. With 6 years in case management, they offer comprehensive support to at-risk individuals and families.

Whitley is skilled in addressing issues such as addiction while utilizing motivational interviewing techniques. Their expertise includes curriculum development, workforce development, and crisis intervention.
​
Additionally, Whitley is knowledgeable in fair housing regulations and possesses strong skills in research and financial management. Passionate about outreach, they leverage social media to connect individuals with vital resources. Whitley is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to achieve their fullest potential.

Estrella Vazquez

While training to become a Certified Peer Specialist, Chance is deeply committed to continuous personal and professional growth.
